Mandarin Afterschool Group Class
To cultivate a multilingual language strength for children while improving their school's performance, besides Mandarin private tutoring (in-home and at school) and Immersive Mandarin summer programs, regular graded group classes are created by Mandarin Channel School Kids and Teenagers Mandarin Teaching Team.
The school will place students based on their age groups, study backgrounds (Chinese native speakers or non-Chinese native speakers), and current levels to ensure a qualified and effective learning environment foundation.



Based on the systematic teaching curriculum of the CHINESE MADE EASY and CME FOR KIDS series (the textbook used in most international schools in Hong Kong), and combining the
1) scenarios interactions Mandarin speaking and listening practice
2) toys-leading teaching approaches
3) videos and pictures retelling, flash cards, puzzles, stickers Chinese characters recognization and writing methods to transfer the interest from toys, videos, songs to learn Mandarin.

Both Simplified and Traditional Chinese characters are available.
Teachers will record learning content and students' feedback after every lesson, and share them with parents every week to understand what kids achieve with Mandarin Channel School.
30 hours will complete one level.
Mandarin Channel School believes that teachers are the keys to leading students to explore Chinese culture, cultivate Mandarin studying interest, and build Mandarin speaking confidence. All teachers are native Mandarin speakers, patient, energetic, and well-trained. Averagely 7 years of Mandarin kids and teenagers teaching experience.

1) Up to Two make-up lessons (45minutes private lessons) will be provided if students cannot attend classes due to the following reasons:

1. How can I know my kids’ improvement?Before enrolling in our Mandarin classes, we will provide a placement test to find out students’ current levels, it will be the referred results. Students will have a test after each 30-hour Mandarin learning with us, then parents will better know how kids’ progress.

7. Is a trial lesson available?Of course! We will arrange a suitable teacher for students based on their studying backgrounds, learning goals, and classes’ locations to have a 20-minute trial lesson with your kid(s) to experience our classes’ environment and teaching styles.

5. How much do you charge for in-home Mandarin tutoring?If teachers travel from our school to your place by public transportation in 30 minutes, there is no extra transportation fee will be charged.

Generally, reaching conversational fluency may take 6 months to a few years. Based on Mandarin Channel School’s curriculum, we have designed 5 weeks Intensive group class schedule for beginners. After you finish it, you can communicate simply and directly with daily topics you are interested in.

7. Are there any prerequisites for joining a class?Most beginner classes have no prerequisites. Students can start face to face classes at our Central campus anytime. For Intermediate and advanced level students, a placement test will be conducted before joining the group.

3. What is your group class students’ background? Are they of my level?Our students are from different cultural backgrounds and industries. You will be studying with students of your level. Since we offer a FREE placement test for non-beginners before they join classes.

How long is each lesson?Each booking can be 1 hour, 1.5 hours or longer. We will go with students’ preferred schedule.

Do I need to work with a fixed time/ day or based on availability?Students who enroll in our private lessons will enjoy scheduling flexibility, therefore, students can book, reschedule, and cancel classes 12 hours ahead at no charge.

Your professional course consultant will arrange a suitable teacher according to your schedule, current level, and future learning needs.
